Terri Iacobucci, SPHR, Named Human Resource Professional of the Year
The Kentucky Society of Human Resource Management's (SHRM) State Council developed a statewide award program designed to recognize professional excellence in the field of human resource management. It is the most prestigious human resource excellence award in the Commonwealth. The Kentucky Chamber of Commerce and Associated Industries of Kentucky partnered with the State Council to promote the program to their members. HR professionals throughout Kentucky were nominated for the HR Professional of the Year Award. The nominees were required to have developed an innovative HR program or practice, be accomplished in their field, and volunteer their time and expertise to help others outside their organization.
On September 24, 2003, at the Kentucky State SHRM Conference in Louisville, the SHRM State Council announced that Terri Iacobucci, SPHR, is the recipient of the 2003 HR Professional of the Year Award.
Terri is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR). She earned her Master of Business Administration from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio, and her Bachelor of Science at the University of Cincinnati.
Terri is Principal of Key Alliance LLC, a human resource consulting firm located in Northern Kentucky. One of Terri's clients, Renae Phillips, Chief Operations Officer with Pope & Associates, nominated Terri for this prestigious award following success with her “Integration-Alignment Plan (IAP)(SM).”
The IAP aligns an organization's mission statement and business goals with its human resource systems to enhance employee performance. Enhanced employee performance is further achieved following the integration of the various human resources strategies (such as the total compensation strategy, the selection strategy, and the retention strategy).
In addition to consulting, Terri is an Adjunct Faculty Member with Gateway Community & Technical College. Through the College, she teaches Information Technology classes for the Urban Learning Center and the Strategic Management Section of SHRM Human Resources Management course.
Volunteering in a number of capacities, Terri is active in the community. Since 1987, Terri has volunteered with Clovernook Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired. She also volunteers with Hospice of Northern Kentucky and Holly Hill Children’s Services.
Terri is also actively involved in the business community. She is a member of the steering committee of the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce HR100 and a program committee member of the Northern Kentucky Human Resource Association. She regularly attends the METS (Metropolitan Education and Training Services) “Perforums”, the NKHRA Legal Roundtable, and the Greater Cincinnati Human Resources Roundtable.
